From C++ games to
a series that writes itself.

QUAK is a one-person studio that builds things that actually run: AI robots and agents, self-generating live shows, servers, databases, APIs. Built to order — or for ourselves, like Simlokatorzy.

Simlokatorzy are here

A Polish animated series that generates itself — in SimWorld: its own scene engine, its own AI director, its own voices, its own server. It runs live on YouTube, but full edited episodes come out too. This is one of them.

Simson sat on the floor and closed his eyes. Mira has questions. Sima has answers — but not all of them can be said out loud.

It ends with a song: "Knock on my door, World".

Story

How we got here

Every chapter is a different technology. The common thread: at some point it had to work.

  1. The beginning C++

    It started with games

    The first lines of QUAK code were C++ games. Game loop, collisions, hand-rolled data structures — no framework, no web, plenty of patience. That is where we learned that a working program beats a pretty one.

  2. The browser HTML + JS

    Games go online

    Then the games moved to the browser: Quakky, Labyrinth, Adventurer, retro classics. Canvas, sprites, a realtime leaderboard. They are still playable today.

  3. 2019 – 2024

    Websites, apps, QUAK Learn

    QUAK became a company. Business apps for repair shops, wholesalers and offices (Tabelek, TechApp, Creativo), client websites, open-source libraries and the QUAK Learn blog with dozens of articles on architecture, backend and cloud.

  4. 2025 → AI · TypeScript

    Agents and our own harnesses

    Instead of waiting for off-the-shelf tools, QUAK built its own agent platform: local-first, on our own hardware, with its own runtime and the Jarvis assistant. To us an agent is not a chat box — it is a process with memory, tools and a job to finish.

  5. Now Simlokatorzy

    A series that generates itself

    All of those chapters meet in Simlokatorzy: games (the scene engine), web (static pages + PixiJS), backend (house server, scene queue, API) and AI (director, screenwriter, voices). An animated series live on YouTube — and proof that QUAK can build an entire system like that from scratch.
